LETTER FROM THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
In my first few weeks as Executive Director of American Friends of ALYN Hospital, I've had the privilege of speaking with many of our longtime supporters. Whether their connection began through Wheels of Love, a family experience, or decades of involvement with the hospital, each conversation has offered a glimpse into a remarkable community united by a shared belief in the potential of every child.
I came to this role because I believe deeply in the power of mission-driven organizations to change lives. What I've discovered so quickly is that ALYN's greatest strength is not only the world-class care it provides, but also the extraordinary community of supporters, volunteers, families, and advocates who make that care possible. Together, we are creating opportunities, independence, and brighter futures for children and families every day.
WHEELS OF LOVE '26
This year, we are bringing back hiking as an option for those who want to participate but prefer not to ride. Guided by the same outstanding tour guide who leads Heels of Love, hikers will have the opportunity to explore Eilat’s breathtaking landscapes with their feet firmly on the ground. Earlier this month we hosted a Wheels of Love information session to discuss the hike and other features of the 2026 Wheels of Love ride.

Why Jeff Blye Rides for ALYN
Jeff Blye has been riding ALYN Hospital’s annual bike ride, Wheels of Love, for nearly two decades. For Jeff, this is much more than a cycling challenge. It is an opportunity to make a tangible difference in the lives of disabled children—and to witness that difference firsthand.
“Every year, when we visit the hospital, we see improvements made possible through the donations and support of our generous donors,” Jeff said. “We see a new wing, an innovation lab, new medical equipment, a music therapy room, or an animal-assisted therapy space. It’s amazing to see the difference year after year.”
