Back to Life, One Goal at a Time
In early August, I met Elad and his mother, Ayelet, in the ALYN patient van. Elad was returning to the hospital from an outside appointment as part of his care at ALYN. A few weeks earlier, he had been hit by a car while walking to a soccer field near his home to meet friends. He suffered multiple fractures to his pelvis and arm, as well as contusions to his brain. With his Bar Mitzvah only a month away at the time of the accident, he was facing a long road of rehabilitation.
ANYA RUNS FOR ALYN
As the NYC Marathon approaches, our Team ALYN runners are training hard and preparing for race day! We’re spotlighting each of our marathoners to share their stories and the connections that inspire them to support ALYN.
Meet Anya, a former ALYN nurse who will be running her seventh marathon—and her first NYC Marathon.

Victor’s Wheels of Love story began in 2007, when a friend invited him to participate for the first time. But it was at the end of that ride, when he arrived at ALYN Hospital, that he realized the experience went far beyond cycling.
“When I arrived at the hospital and saw the dedication of the staff and the incredible results, I fell in love with ALYN Hospital.”
