We are thrilled to celebrate Saja Nashef, a dedicated nurse in ALYN Hospital's Rehabilitation Department, who has received the prestigious Humanity in Nursing Award from the Shamir School of Nursing.

Saja is not only a leader but also a compassionate guide and anchor for her team. She prevents burnout, fosters connection, and has created a mentorship program that supports families navigating the challenging journey of pediatric rehabilitation.

Through her tireless work, Saja touches the lives of children and teens at their most vulnerable moments, trauma, loss, and pain. But she does more than treat symptoms. She provides calm, hope, and a profound human connection, offering a safe place for healing. Whether it's holding a child's hand until they are ready to move forward, or being a mentor to a family in need, Saja's presence is a constant source of strength.

Her impact can be seen in the stories of those she helps. Two mothers, one from Ashkelon and the other from Hebron, formed a powerful bond of support while their children received care at ALYN. Michael, who tragically lost his mother in a fire, was inspired to take charge of his rehabilitation journey, becoming a “commander” of his progress. Shaked, a teen with a painful condition, found renewed self-belief thanks to Saja’s commitment to walking alongside her — not just for her.

Saja, your compassion and dedication are truly inspiring. We are so proud of you and thankful for the example you set of what true care looks like.
