A NOTE FROM OUR EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
I believe with all my heart that ALYN Hospital in Jerusalem is a holy place. It stands as a shining example of what it means to live by some of the highest Jewish values—compassion, inclusion, and unwavering commitment to helping others. At ALYN, people from all walks of life come together, united by a shared mission: to provide exceptional care and support to children with complex physical challenges. No matter what a child’s background, if they need ALYN’s services, they receive them—without hesitation.
One of the greatest privileges of my role is witnessing firsthand the life-changing work happening at ALYN every day. I also have the joy of meeting supporters from across the United States, each with a unique story about how they became connected to this extraordinary institution. Some were medical or nursing interns; others found their way through the inspiring Wheels of Love bike ride. But no matter how they came to know ALYN, they all express the same awe at its impact and spirit.
At American Friends of ALYN Hospital, our mission is to raise awareness and support for this vital institution. We’ve expanded our reach through a more dynamic presence on social media and are actively working to engage the next generation of leadership. But we know we can always do more—and we welcome your ideas. Whether large or small, every suggestion counts. Please don’t hesitate to share your thoughts with us.
Together, we can continue to create lasting change—for the children at ALYN, and for the world.
YOUNG LEADERSHIP UPDATE
Our young leadership program is making waves, and we're eager to share our latest triumphs with you. Last Wednesday, we collaborated with Chicago Chai, a vibrant community group, to host the Yom HaatzmaYACHT event in Chicago. This celebration of Yom Ha'atzmaut and Chicago Chai's anniversary drew a fantastic crowd of over 235 attendees, surpassing our previous NYC event.
PARC
The Helmsley Pediatric & Adolescent Rehabilitation Research Center (PARC) at ALYN Hospital focuses on enhancing the care and quality of life for young people with physical disabilities. It achieves this by evaluating the effectiveness of innovative treatment methods and ensuring the reliability and validity of new assessment tools to improve patient outcomes.
IN ISRAEL WITH ALYN
Are you looking for a way to fundraise for ALYN Hospital and go to Israel? You can ride a bike, you can take a hike for 3 days or one night.
This November will be our 25th Wheels of Love ride, and this past March was our 7th Heels of Love hike!
Last year, a night hike was added in mid-summer for people who do not have 2-3 days to hike and camp.

To help keep everyone updated on what is happening at AFAH and ALYN, we have created a WhatsApp community that will help streamline our efforts to communicate with you.
For those who don’t know, a WhatsApp community is a group that contains several smaller group chats. Our WhatsApp community includes a general announcements group with updates and a monthly newsletter.
