We are currently in a unique time between Tu B’Shvat, the New Year of the Trees, and Purim, a celebration of resilience and joy. Tu B’Shvat symbolizes the quiet beginning of renewal, paralleling the small yet significant milestones achieved by children at ALYN, thanks to medical care and family support. Purim teaches us about transformation and overcoming challenges, much like the inspiring progress seen in ALYN’s children. This season encourages us to nurture unseen potential and celebrate communal achievements through events like Heels of Love and Wheels of Love, which embody the spirit of giving and growth. As we move forward, let’s strengthen our connection to ALYN’s mission, appreciating the wonders being created in Jerusalem, one child at a time.
PURIM AT ALYN
At ALYN Hospital, Purim isn't just another holiday. It's an experience — with the focus where it matters most: the children. From the moment families arrive, the halls are filled with laughter, music, and creative costumes, making every corner feel like a celebration.
The delicious treats are shared throughout the day, and families and staff gather for moments of light-hearted fun that help brighten the routine of rehabilitation with the warmth of the holiday spirit.
YOUNG PROFESSIONALS
As we look ahead, ensuring long-term support for ALYN means investing in younger leaders today. Through our Young Professionals initiative, AFAH is building a vibrant network dedicated to raising awareness, fostering community, and sustaining ALYN’s mission for generations to come. This has become a national movement with events held in Boston, NYC, LA, Chicago, and Austin.

HEELS OF LOVE '26
The 8th annual ALYN Heels of Love trek is set for March 10–12, 2026—a three-day hiking and camping adventure supporting the children of ALYN Hospital. This year’s route leads us through the extraordinary Timna Park region, with its dramatic cliffs, hidden canyons, and unforgettable desert skies.
It will be an adventure you will remember for years to come. The breathtaking views, knowledgeable tour guides, and engaging discussions with fellow hikers create a sense of unity around a cause that resonates deeply with all of us — ALYN Hospital. Join us for an experience that challenges, inspires, and makes a real impact.
