ALYN Young Professionals Builds Momentum in Los Angeles
American Friends of ALYN Hospital recently partnered with Nice Jewish Surfers for a Shabbat dinner and after-party in Los Angeles, bringing together a strong, engaged community of young professionals.
The evening began with a Shabbat dinner attended by 90 young professionals, followed by an after-party that welcomed an additional 119 guests. Throughout the night, there was clear excitement around growing ALYN’s Young Professionals presence in Los Angeles and creating more opportunities for people to get involved.

During the program, Alex shared the story of Noam, a 16-year-old from Be’er Sheva whose life changed after a sudden accident with friends left him unable to move. After emergency treatment and surgeries, Noam came to ALYN Hospital for rehabilitation, where he has been working toward his dream of standing and walking again. His story gave attendees a powerful example of the children ALYN helps every day — children facing life-changing injuries who are fighting to regain strength, independence, and hope.
Guests were also introduced to Wheels of Love and Heels of Love, ALYN’s flagship cycling and hiking fundraiser, and many were excited by the opportunity to connect with the hospital in an active and meaningful way.
The response in Los Angeles was incredibly encouraging. Attendees were moved by ALYN’s mission, inspired by Noam’s story, and eager to help build a stronger Young Professionals community on the West Coast.
