Abby Leviss is a seasoned nonprofit executive with more than 25 years of experience in institutional fundraising, advocacy, program development, and strategic leadership. She most recently served as Director of Corporate Philanthropy at American Friends of Magen David Adom, where she led national corporate giving initiatives and partnerships in support of Israel’s emergency medical services.
Previously, Abby held several leadership roles at Jewish National Fund-USA, including Regional Director of the Los Angeles region, where she oversaw fundraising, community engagement, and strategic growth initiatives. She later served in senior national positions managing multi-million-dollar grant programs, leading national campaigns, and helping launch innovative initiatives such as Dream Israel.
Abby also served as Assistant Director of the Jewish Community Relations Council of the San Francisco Bay Area, where she led interfaith relations, legislative advocacy, and community engagement efforts. She later joined American Jewish World Service as the Sudan Campaign Organizer, coordinating advocacy and grassroots engagement efforts focused on the humanitarian crisis in Darfur.
Earlier in her career, Abby worked in the cataloguing department at the Shoah Foundation, contributing to the preservation and organization of Holocaust survivor testimony archives.
Abby holds advanced degrees in Public Administration and Nonprofit Management from the University of Southern California and Hebrew Union College.
